Propaganda cartography can be created and defined by their function. If maps are created for political propaganda measures, it can according to this categorization be identified as cartographic propaganda.
A propaganda map is used to influence people to change their beliefs about a certain thing. This is a reflection of Ronald Reagan’s point of view (it’s us (U. S.) versus them (USSR) theory during the Cold War Era.
